Your compensation
The Medicines Company rewards its associates with a competitive base pay rate, and yearly wage increases based on performance and development of key skills and competencies. Every associate is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus program that measures achievements against specified objectives, based on both company and individual performance.

Your long-term financial opportunity
Each associate is an owner and receives Equity in the form of stock options that recognize associates and their imperative role in MDCO’s future financial success. Associates are also eligible to buy MDCO stock at a discounted price through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. MDCO also offers various retirement options, such as 401(k) match or a pension program, varying upon country.

MDCO offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to support you and your family. These include a variety of medical plans that feature in-network only or both in and out-of-network benefits, with the company offering significant financial contribution. For our U.S. associates, benefits also include dental insurance, prescription drug coverage, short and long term disability, life insurance, optional vision coverage overage, optional Health and Dependent Care Accounts.

Your life/work balance
MDCO’s time away from work benefits are designed to make life healthier, happier and more convenient for our associates. We truly recognize and value the importance of work-life balance. U.S. Associates receive four weeks of vacation plus four personal days, regardless of position or length of service and our associates in other countries receive as much or more time off depending on local custom.  All employees are eligible for paid company holidays, and important holidays around the globe are observed on a country-by-county basis.
